First Communion

It is the understanding and practice of our Lutheran tradition that though Holy Communion is a gift from God, that one should have a basic understanding of what this gift is about.  We feel that at 2nd-3rd grade that children have the ability to appreciate this gift and with some instruction on the history of the Sacrament and its understandings in various Christian communities that a child should receive this gift.  One does not have to be a member to receive this instruction and the age can vary with conversation between the Pastor and parents.

On June 29, 2025, 3 young ladies from our church family, Hannah Selgrade, Kora Hua, and Veronica Clark received their first communion, as the church celebrated with them.
